MEET NICK

Nick Gauthier

A native of Waterford, Nick Gauthier graduated from Waterford High School before earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Public Administration from the University of New Haven.

Nick was elected to his first term as State Representative for Connecticut’s 38th District in 2024 where he currently serves on the Energy and Technology Committee, the Government Administration and Elections Committee and the Labor and Public Employees Committee. Before joining the Connecticut General Assembly, Nick served locally on the Waterford Representative Town Meeting. In addition to his legislative work, he was previously employed by Waterford’s Senior Services Department and has served as a labor, community, and political organizer.

Outside of his public service, Nick enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee and spending time in local parks. He also serves the community as a Justice of the Peace.
